Description
Maxwest Astro 5.0 4G 4 GB Black, New, GSM unlocked
Here is the Maxwest Astro 5.0 4G in Black, new in box and GSM unlocked, a 5.0-inch IPS dual-SIM Android 4.4 phone with 4 GB of storage, 512 MB of RAM, and an 8 MP camera. Black is the volume color for exporters filling pallet orders for Latin American prepaid counters where HSPA+ service still carries traffic.
The Maxwest Astro 5.0 is a budget Android phablet from Maxwest, a US-based maker of unlocked GSM phones founded in 2001 that sells mainly through distributors into Latin America and the Caribbean. The Astro 5.0 pairs a 5.0-inch IPS display with a quad-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage with microSD expansion up to 32 GB, an 8 MP rear camera, a 2 MP front camera, dual SIM slots, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, running Android 4.4 KitKat with HSPA+ data on 850/1900/2100 MHz.
Exporters and prepaid distributors buy the Astro 5.0 from TG Wireless as a new, boxed, color-assorted dual-SIM Android for markets where GSM and 3G service is still live.

Condition: New
Brand new units in the original box with the original in-box accessories as listed. Nothing has been activated or reconditioned. If your channel needs sealed retail packaging rather than open-box new, say so when you request a quote so the account manager can confirm how the lot is packed.
Network and compatibility
The Astro 5.0 is a GSM phone whose "4G" label means HSPA+ data; it has no LTE radio and no VoLTE. US carriers retired 3G in 2022 and T-Mobile shut down 2G GSM on August 3, 2026, so it gets no US service today. It is sold GSM unlocked; see the network status line in the table. Its realistic market is export to Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, where GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS 850/1900/2100 service remains live, plus Wi-Fi-only use.
Resale fit
- Exporters supplying color-assorted dual-SIM Androids to Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Prepaid retail counters abroad that want a new, boxed 5-inch Android at an entry price.
- Wi-Fi-only deployments where a low-cost Android screen is enough.
